Project Description

The construction, operation, decommissioning and abandonment of a new rare earth element mine located 36 km southeast of Port Hope Simpson and 10 km west of St. Lewis, NL. The Foxtrot mine would have an estimated life of 14 years; the first 8 of which would be open pit mining while the last 6 years would be underground mining. During the open pit operations, mining would be for 6 months of the year, at a rate of 2000 tonnes/day. The underground phase of the mining project would run 12 months of the year at a rate of 1000 tonnes/day.
